Automatic Voltage Stabilizer

An Automatic Voltage Stabilizer (AVS) is an electrical device designed to automatically maintain a stable voltage level to protect electrical appliances and equipment from voltage fluctuations such as over-voltage, under-voltage, and voltage spikes.

What It Does:

Electricity supplied from the grid often fluctuates due to various reasons like overload, faulty transmission lines, or inconsistent power generation. These fluctuations can damage sensitive electrical equipment like air conditioners, refrigerators, computers, medical devices, and industrial machinery.

An AVS detects these voltage fluctuations and corrects them automatically, supplying consistent voltage output to the connected devices.

How It Works:

  • The AVS constantly monitors the input voltage from the power source.
  • When it detects voltage outside the safe range (either too high or too low), it automatically adjusts the output by switching internal transformer taps or using servo motors, depending on the type.
  • The AVS then delivers a corrected, stable voltage to the connected load, protecting your devices.

Benefits of Using an Automatic Voltage Stabilizer

  • Protects sensitive electronics
  • Improves equipment lifespan
  • Prevents unexpected shutdowns
  • Ensures smooth and efficient operation
  • Reduces energy losses in some cases

The stabilizer continuously monitors the input voltage. If it detects a rise or drop from the desired voltage level, the control system signals the servo motor to adjust the transformer position accordingly, ensuring a steady output voltage.
